Report on the Examination of Leonora Fortunati and Simone Monsignor

"For now, the sexual duality persists and in chat rooms and blogs (let alone over the virtual avatars) There seems to be a tendency not only to pretend to be other than we are, but to take a sexual side to their personality. to think that the not only on the fantasies and anxieties about the psychoanalytic psychology of men and women, but also about possible confusion or dissolution of the imaginary. " This is

Altro spunto all'interno della raccolta di saggi, was a consideration (taken up by more than an author) the conscious use of the Web. The problem, nowadays, it seems to us to be this: Every social network could be an opportunity to get to know or maintain relationships with new virtual identities or somebody they know in physical life (stress the word "physical", which is important for Rosanne Stone Allucquère the distinction made between this and "real life" in "Desire and Technology"). The fact is that there is a tendency to exaggerate the use of these facilities, where life tends to overlap with that of virtual reality, creating distortions and bogus identity.

proceed then to describe the construction of the video:
Initially we see an open white space, a sort of limbo (to us representing the Internet), where an invisible hand creates his monsters. Show that in itself would be harmless, or nearly so (hence the choice to represent them through the technique of origami, the form of animals), but who become brutal when contact with a non-conscious. Origami also has a second meaning: it is made of paper, a material highly perishable and delicate for us a metaphor for the fictional worlds that create the network. So we called
Internet call through its products and us, people are not aware, we respond without thinking of the consequences of our actions, join Social network, providing personal information, interests or spending most of our free time in front of a computer, not to inform or to act actively in the creation of something, but drifting passively with things that seem to unite, but in reality keep us segregated separately in our private spaces, physically alone.
With each new recall, the character is reinvented, go fishing in his wardrobe of identity "and choosing the self-image (which we can identify with the avatar) more suited to what your needs depending on the fictitious identity Social network used.
Time and personalities become more and more requests, it is difficult to find something innovative, the sight of which immediately strikes you "visits" on the web. For this reason, we can see that at each change of social network required by the "monsters", the figures become more exaggerated in the wardrobe (ie: gas mask, man, animal, etc.). The pace is hectic and it draws us into its spiral ... villains haunt us and we are looking more and more, until the person no longer has the quickness to respond and adapt to the appeal. The final sequence, a continuous change of identity, which extends down to depersonalization (physical or real? Is up to the viewer to decide) just wants to represent this failure. As

concerns the technical part of the video:
we decided to use the technique of stop motion. Using a Fuji S304 digital, we obtained a total of 1526 frames, which were then fitted with software for video editing.
To accompany the images we decided to introduce two pieces of music belonging to what is the logic of the project. We have chosen "Je veur you voix" Yelle and "Lights Out" by Santogold (for titles and credits). Both of these artists, in fact, are so-called "phenomena Myspace, or musicians who have climbed the peak of success thanks to the plays received anywhere.
