Berlin photobook

is time that we talked about this photobook, a many of the ideas sketched on a sheet and put in the drawer along with all others.
This small project is the latest phase of work started in Berlin in May 2009, where I took some photographs with an analog camera to film b / n. Then ten of these were exposed, among other works, the exhibition "Berlin is in Germany", held in Parma in March 2010.
After the show, however, I have often been tickled with the idea of \u200b\u200bfinding a way to publish photos online, perhaps in a small catalog, so that they could be consulted in the future.
Having worked in analog has at times complicated things and lengthy but now the work is finally completed and available online at http://issuu.com/blankmag/docs/berlin .
The book includes ten photographs exhibited at Parma a more unusual.

The work was a collaboration with Nicole Munari who oversaw the digitalizzazione delle fotografie e il progetto grafico del book.

CAREER

Early life and growth environment
Born January 31, 1975 in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, Zinta comes from a Hindu Rajput family of Rohru in Shimla district. His father, Durgananda Zinta was an officer of the Indian Army and died in a car accident quando Preity aveva tredici anni; l'incidente coinvolse anche sua madre, Nilprabha, che rimase seriamente ferita e dovette restare a letto per due anni.
Dopo essersi diplomata a diciotto years in that college, Zinta enrolled at St Bede's College in Shimla. Initially he majored in English literature, but then followed a program of advanced psychology. He earned a degree in criminal psychology in fact, but later began his career as a model. The first advertisement for the chocolate Zinta Perk was the result of a chance meeting with a director of advertising at the birthday party of a friend in 1996. The director persuaded Zinta to attend the hearing for advertising and she was chosen. After that also appeared in other commercials, like that of Liril.
early-stage (1997-1999)
In 1997, Zinta met the film director Shekhar Kapur while accompanying a friend to an audition and was asked to do it too. Seeing her audition, Kapur insisted on becoming an actress. He was initially hired for the feature film debut in the movie "Tara Rum Pum Pum" by Kapur in a complementary role to Hrithik Roshan, but the filming was canceled; Kapur later recommended to the director Mani Ratnam's Dil Se.
Zinta also began to shoot for the film Kya Kehna Kundan Shah, whose release was delayed until 2000. The delay in the distribution of another film, Soldier, meant that his first appearance on the big screen came with Dil Se in 1998, alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Manisha Koirala.
Zinta After that she starred in two films in Telugu language, Premante Ider, with Venkatesh, and Raja Kumarudu in 1999 with Mahesh Babu. He continued his career with the main part in the thriller Sangharsh alongside Akshay Kumar. The film, based on The Silence of the Lambs in 1991 was directed by Tanuja Chandra and written by Mahesh Bhatt. Zinta played the character of Reet Oberoi, un'ufficiale the CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) who falls for a killer is caught, played by Kumar. The film was a box office success, although Zinta's performance was appreciated by critics.
The turning point (2000-2002)
Zinta's first film in 2000 was the drama Kya Kehna, which unexpectedly turned out to be a box office success. The film is known to have addressed the issues of single mothers and teen pregnancy and Zinta has earned great appreciation from both the public and the film critic. Her performance as a young mother who fights the prejudices of the company has earned a high number of nominations, including its first nomination for Best Actress at the Filmfare Awards.
Later that year, he starred in Mission Kashmir, a Vidhu Vinod Chopra's drama alongside Sanjay Dutt and Hrithik Roshan. Set in the valley of Kashmir during the Indo-Pakistani conflict, the film tackles the issues of terrorism and crime as seen through the eyes of Aaltaf, played by Roshan. Zinta's role was to Sufiya Parvez, a TV reporter, whose Aaltaf was in love when he was a boy. Her performance was well received by all. An article appeared in The Hindu said, "Preity Zinta is the usual cherubic itself with attitudes and lends color to the otherwise serious facts." It was a commercial success, the third place that year in India. In 2001, Zinta earned positive reviews for her role, which earned the victory at the National Film Award in the film Dil Chanta Hai, Farhan Akhtar, with Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan and Akshay Khanna. Describing the routine life of the rich teenagers of today, the film tells the story of three friends, Zinta who plays a young woman named Shalini, where he is in love with Aamir Khan. Rediff.com wrote that Zinta is "beautiful and vibrant, ranging from the sweetly naive and confused."
In 2001, there are three other movies Zinta, including the romantic drama Chori Chori Chupke Chupke Abbas Mustan, which was distributed with a year's delay, due to the process undergone by the producer Bharat Shah. The film was one of the first Bollywood to address the issue of surrogate mothers. Zinta's performance in the role of Madhubala, a prostitute with a heart of gold, used as a surrogate mother, earned her a nomination for Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Award. Rediff.com noted that "Preity Zinta, who clearly has the most sensual of all, does her best. His transformation from a prostitute arrogant and impassive in a warm and sensitive person is incredibly believable. " After the release of the film Zinta has been recognized as a great capacity for variability in interpretation, due to the parts of a single mother in Kya Kehna, the CBI officer in Sangharsh and surrogate mother in Chori Chori Chupke Chupke and was accredited as bearer of a new image for the top actresses of Bollywood.
In 2002, Zinta collaborated once again with director Kundan Shah, as the protagonist in the family drama Dil Hai Tumhaara, alongside Rekha, Mahima Chaudhry and Arjun Rampal. Although not successful at the box office, her portrayal of Shalu, an adopted daughter, longing for love, was critically acclaimed. Taran Adarsh \u200b\u200bdell'IndiaFM noted that "Preity Zinta in a supporting role chosen by the author of the film, steals the show with a sincere interpretation. Her scenes with Rekha (in the second half) and Alok Nath (before the climax of the story) are simply outstanding. This is surely a performance that wins critical praise with all my heart. "
Il successo (2003-giorno d’oggi)
Zinta è stata la protagonista femminile di tre grossi successi commerciali del 2003: The Hero: Love Story of a Spy, Koi... Mil Gaya e Tomorrow May Never Come.
Mil Gaya, riguardante un giovane uomo with a degenerative mental disease. In the film follows along with Rekha and Hrithik Roshan, and he played the role of Nisha, a young woman with whom Roshan is on friendly terms. He received another nomination for Best Actress for this role to the movie. The film was both a financial and critical success. It became the biggest hit of the year as well as Zinta's biggest success to date with a built in India of 489 million rupees.
The last film was played by Zinta quell''nno Tomorrow May Never Come, a wrenching tale directed by Nikhil Advani and written by Karan Johar with Jaya Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Saif Ali Khan. The film was accepted favorably by critics and became the second commercial success in India that year after Koi ... Mil Gaya. He went well internationally and became the biggest hit of the Indian overseas, gaining worldwide over 600 million rupees. Zinta played the role of Naina Catherine Kapur, a girl of Indian origin who is insecure and angry American who falls in love with a man who has a fatal disease to the heart. He has won some awards for this performance, including the Filmfare Best Actress Award. Derek Elley of Variety wrote, "Zinta, who has carved out a growing following in the previous three years or so, has never been so good, moving permanently from teen roles to that of a charismatic young woman.
In 2004 he starred in the TV journalist Romil Dutta in Farhan Akhtar's war drama Lakshya, Hrithik Roshan with. The film was based on historical events of the Kargil conflict in 1999. Zinta's character was modeled after TV journalist Barkha Dutt, the only woman reporter to follow events. The film was a critical success, but the interpretation of Zinta has received contradictory reviews, Rediff.com has noted, "Zinta has almost a good role and a great deal of footage in the film, and makes good use without to show too much. Variety noted, "Zinta, the most interesting young actress of her generation, is itself the usual, busy as willing Zaara". Veer-Zaara was the second biggest hit Zinta in Bollywood and the third largest in two consecutive years and marked the beginning of his collaboration with the Yash Raj Films, one of the biggest production houses of Bollywood.
In 2005, Zinta appeared in two films. The first was the popular comedy Khullam Khulla Pyaar Karen, with Govinda, a production which had been postponed since 2002. The film has received some criticism, and few rewards at the box office. Zinta's role was minor and was not well accolto. Taran Adarsh ha scritto: “Dopo Kya Kehna, Preity Zinta accepts the challenge of interpreting an unwed mother yet again in Salaam Namaste. The actor is excellent, handing in his hands the interpretation of his most successful to date. His kiss with Saif Ali Khan crashes take many people by surprise, but this is the sign of a true professional. " Meanwhile, The New York Times concluded: "She is the queen of cute heart so much that even when the character he plays are not good, it's hard not to like."
Zinta received further success in 2006 starring in Karan Johar's drama Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna with a respectable cast that included Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukherjee and Kirron Kher. The film became one of the biggest hits at the box office in India earned 464 million rupees and more than 445 million abroad, becoming the biggest hit of all time Bollywood abroad. At the same time he also became the fourth best result in four consecutive years overseas. The film tells the story of two married couples, unhappy in New York and an extra-marital relationship. Zinta played the role of Rhea Saran, editor of a fashion magazine, her performance was appreciated by critics. According to IndiaFM, "Preity not only looks great, but the dedication to her role shows off at crucial moments. The penultimate scene with Rani Mukerji, when compared to the wedding reception, is fabulous.
He then starred in Shirish Kunder's romantic musical Jaan-E-Mann, the story of two men in the United States, played by Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar, who love the same woman. The film received positive reviews from the critics, but did not go very well at the box office. Zinta played the role of Piya, the attraction of the two men. Although he had a small role and a character is not developed, which was Rediff described as "pure ornament," its performance was generally well accepted. Rajeev Masand of CNN IBN wrote: "Of the main cast, Preity Zinta seems to be the most important, but the role of the three shorter and it is strange considering the entire story revolves around her. The actress brings a quiet dignity to the role and exerts a drag on its performance, giving the character the maturity required. He explained that the film was a great relief after the most intense, in terms of emotional, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, since the first of the two was "calm, reassuring and very simple."
In 2007 Zinta portrayed the character of an Anglo-Pakistani woman, Alvira Khan, in his third collaboration with the Yash Raj Films, comedy Jhoom Jhoom Jhoom Barabe of Shaadi Ali, alongside Abhishek Bachchan, Bobby Deol and Lara Dutta.

Raj Kapoor

Ranbir Raj Kapoor (Peshawar, December 14, 1924 - New Delhi, June 2, 1988), known as Raj Kapoor, was one of the biggest personalities of Indian cinema.

BIOGRAPHY
son of actor Prithviraj Kapoor, he spent his childhood in Peshawar until his father moved to Bombay. The years of youth were characterized by a nomadic life as a result of frequent moves of his father and took him to reside in various Indian cities, including Calcutta.
the age of 22 years got married in a traditional manner or with an arranged marriage, and had five children including Rishi, who was the only one to follow in the footsteps of his father and became a successful actor in turn.
In the eighties, putting aside his acting career, continued success of the film and died prematurely because of severe asthma, a few weeks after receiving one of the highest honors from the President of the Indian republic.

CAREER

Early
Raised in contact with the theater and movie sets where his father worked, as soon as the school began its apprenticeship working in Prithvi Theatres, here was the opportunity to exercise his skills mainstreaming. Among the plays of those years (the forties), deserves to be remembered that he saw Pathan also involved in making the costumes and scenery.
parallel with experience in Prithvi Theatres worked as an assistant in the Bombay Talkies film studio and the director Kidar Sharma, who offered him the lead role in the film Neel Kamal in 1947.
Golden Age RKI Studios
In 1948, finished the experience with the Prithvi, Raj Kapoor decided to create his own film studio, RK Studios, where he created a team of screenwriter KAAbbas, by musician Shankar who joined the singers Mukesh, Lata Mangeshkar and actress Nargis.
This working group created in the fifties and sixties some of his most important films. Many innovations were introduced by him in the movies, dream sequences, revealing the anxieties and conflicts of the characters, with very elaborate choreography. For the first time the viewer is in front of actresses in swimsuits, and also for the first time used Indian film scenes in Europe.
In the film Awaara appeared the character of the "Little Tramp", a tribute to Raj Kapoor was in Chaplin fan, and taken in other films like Shree 420, in which the social issue was equally clear.
Awara became very popular outside India, in the former Soviet Union, China and many countries in the Middle East by Raj Kapoor, an Indian whose fame abroad was matched only by Nehru.
The other feature of his films of that time consisted of a combination of romantic and sentimental elements with the humanities and social accents, they told stories of popular characters that had to fight against poverty and corruption, to finally find the fulfillment of the promises of a decent life.
In those years created the artistic alliance with Nargis, the star of many films opposite Raj Kapoor, the great understanding that developed between the two actors on the screen resulted in the interpretation of romantic situations that would remain for a long time in the heart of the public.
This first professional stage reached a turning point when Nargis, after marrying, he decided to interrupt their careers. During the same period in collaboration with the screenwriter Abbas broke off and then resume a few years later.
problematic
seventies The seventies were opened with an ambitious project which involved the making of a film largely autobiographical and an international cast. It was based on the life and experiences of a clown, his loves and professional vicissitudes.
writing the script went on for years and the cost of production reached high levels. Mera Naam Joker released in 1970, despite expectations, did not find favor with the public. The result was a fiasco of gigantic proportions which left Raj Kapoor to the ground by an emotionally and financially.
a movie was probably too modern for its time and the audience was able to understand and appreciate it only after many years, is regarded today as one of the high points and moving the entire career of the director.
The current crisis came to an end when, in 1973 Raj Kapoor went back on the screens, only as a director with a film that would address the public of young people, their dreams and problems. Bobby was born which soon became another milestone for the Hindi popular cinema. The story of two teenagers on the run, the songs and modern clothes, the flamboyant motorcycle were the elements that provoked an immediate response from the audience and made the film a classic of the "young rebels".
recent years
In the eighties the health of Raj Kapoor worsened steadily but his art does not much affected. After film in which the element of love and erotic was prevalent, the director returned to bring social issues and in Prem Rog, 1982 proposed a critique of the mistreatment they suffered that widows in Indian society. This was followed by another film that expressed about the lack of care for the environment and rivers in particular. The story was presented in an allegorical way, putting the idea of \u200b\u200bthe purity of the waters of the Ganges to the story of a girl dragged by powerful men in shady situations and corrupt.
remained unfinished film project that was Henna relations between India and Pakistan, in the direction of peace and cooperation between the two countries. In the original script was provided for the presence of a western character. Would have prevailed a speech of peace and harmony but Raj Kapoor did not have time to implement the project which saw the light some years later when one of his sons, taking over the project, created it in 1992.
Conclusions
The contribution that Raj Kapoor has given to Indian cinema (especially in what is known as Bollywood), is widely recognized. It was characteristic of his style in a film where violence, racism and the insult they had space. His speech was directed to the construction of cinematic harmony and feeling. Innovative treatments, proposed ideas and asking questions, with the constant concern not to lapse into mere propaganda or in bad taste and the need to find moments of harmony with the public.
